Two iClone citizen directors have debuted their latest iClone creations giving homage to Nirvana in, “The Reckoning,” and Utada Hikaru in “Devil Inside”. Abukhatar’s, The Reckoning is a clever Old West style story that showcases the new Western content pack from the CoolCreators for iClone. Laraangelofdarkness’ continued series of iClone machinima featuring the songs of Utada Hikaru is another creative combination of music and stunning iClone visuals. Lara’s use of the iClone 2 SFX is well executed here in the latest installment.

How does CloneCloth Work?
Reviving Hollywood past with an iClone Machinima twist, Citizen Director Paul Louis releases his latest film inspired by the comedies of Hal Roach. Paul’s short film, “The Case of the Missing Plot,” showcases iClone’s flexible character creation, movement and camera composition. Written by Nick Santa Maria and adapted for the screen by Paul Louis, “The Case of the Missing Plot,” cracks the case and a few laughs in a nostalgic and enjoyable iClone movie.
Paul Louis introduces Biffle & Shooster, “When I was a kid, I grew up watching and loving the old comedy shorts made by Hal Roach. I was a huge fan of the “Our Gang” or “Little Rascals”, as they were later called. And I especially loved Laurel & Hardy. For a while now, I’ve been wanting to make a short film in iClone, but I’ve had somewhat of a writers block. I called a good buddy of mine, Nick Santa Maria, and asked for help. Nick is an extremely talented individual who is also passionate about the same “old school” comedy classics. He immediately sent me a script that he wrote about a fictitious comedy duo from the 1930’s, called “Biffle & Shooster”. I got to work, and well, here it is for your enjoyment.”

Last month Reallusion released iClone 2.0, the latest version of their acclaimed real-time animation software. If you’ve been following the program, you surely have realized how much it has grown since it was released a year ago (this is the third version in the one-year timeframe). For those that don’t know it yet, iClone is a real-time 3D animation tool that lets you quickly make your own short movies, music videos, and even teaching videos.
It includes a library of characters, scenes, props, and pretty much everything else you may need, letting you focus on the creative part rather than the technical part (rigging characters, scripting, setting up renders, etc). Just like Poser, iClone runs a marketplace where you can buy animation cycles, characters, scenes, and props that will fit all your needs.
