Brian Haberlin the co-founder of Anomaly Productions, shares his experience on AR Post.com, on how their team incorporated Reallusion’s iClone 7 and Character Creator 3 into their AR pipeline for their new “first-person”, augmented reality book – Creative Creature Catcher.
Creative Creature Catcher is a beautifully painted, enamoring book where Captain Malcolm Taylor reads to your children, while creatures pop out of the pages, interact with them, play games, and learn all about the creatures through a mobile app that adds a whole new level of engagement, problem solving, and activity for your child.
Independent film director/animator Solomon W. Jagwe reviewed Reallusion’s new Motion LIVE mocap platform, and how it helped him achieve multiple animation goals within a short time, all within the confines of a limited budget!
Solomon used a Perception Neuron 2.0 motion capture suit together with an iPhone Xas motion capture hardware by simultaneously connecting them with iClone. This gave Solomon the freedom to act out the different parts of his characters, while creating banks of animations that he can could later reuse for his new, animated children’s TV series – The Adventures of Nkoza & Nankya.
Transforming Daz and Poser content for Games, AR, VR & Animation
Game development can be a long and painful process, especially for indie game developers with limited budget and manpower. Reallusion has partnered with Renderosity, the well-known online 3D art community, providing a new go-to gaming solution for the DAZ & Poser community. Reallusion Character Creator 3 (CC3) is a full character creation solution that Renderosity members can utilize to import and unify their Daz and Poser content for real-time animation and game design.
Today Renderosity announces the integration of Reallusion Character Creator 3 and iClone 7 within the Renderosity community. The partnership elevates Renderosity vendor content to a new level for inclusion in animation and games. In support of Reallusion’s debut, the Renderosity community will provide a series of the free tutorials on turning Daz & Poser content into game assets with CC3, a tailored software bundle, and dedicated area on the Renderosity forum.
I’m a freelancer 3D artist that specializes in creating different kinds of models (mainly environments and props).
I’ve been making assets for the Unreal Engine Marketplace and the Unity Asset Store for about 3 years now. In all my works I try to create the best quality/price combinations, with accessibility to a wide range of developers.
A Universal 3D Character Creation Platform for Animation, Game, AR and VR
Reallusion delivers Character Creator 3 Pipeline (CC3) and Iray Render Plug-in. A breakthrough in universal character creation, connecting industry-standard character solutions into one system for 3D character generation, rendering and gamification.
CC3 is a dynamic character creation system with a process to choose a highly-morphable base, morph and shape face and body, mix morphs, choose clothing, accessories and rapidly design stylized or realistic 3D characters, already set up for face and body animation.
The latest features added to Character Creator 3 include a quad-based mesh, ZBrush compatibility with GoZ, subdivision and gamification with InstaLOD, along with Iray rendering. CC3 also connects industry-leading sources for 3D character content from external 3D libraries thanks to the Transformer feature, a tool to automatically convert Daz Genesis, Poser M4 / V4, and HiveWire assets from vast content libraries, into animation-ready characters for use in iClone or other 3D applications.
Interactive Iray Rendering
State-of-the-art rendering comes to CC3 with the Iray Render Plug-in. Achieve a photo-realistic, cinematic look-and-feel with Iray, by using common film-look presets and custom controls. Produce impressive visuals with an interactive renderer that allows users to move lights, cameras and more, in real-time during progressive rendering.
Winning animator Frank’s Pencil runs us through how to animate and rig with the Reallusion tool!
Cartoons are the best way for me to share design techniques with people that can be also used in both artistic and more ‘practical’ situations. And of course, they are a lot of fun to make! I am a multimedia designer, I deal on a daily basis with different tasks involving creative communication, from illustration, to sound design and editing. I am currently using Reallusion’s CrazyTalk Animator for the majority of my project and decided to join their team of Certified Content Developers.
Transforming Daz 3D characters into Character Creator 3
Reallusion is nearing the release of Character Creator 3 and new details of character import and pipeline features have some hefty possibilities for content creators of Daz 3D characters. The new Character Creator 3 Transformer tool converts Daz Genesis and M4, V4 FBX content to the Character Creator 3 character system, ready for face and full-body animation, and able to be optimized for games with multiple LOD.
Reallusion has provided a sneak peek of the new content conversion tools that transform Daz 3D and HiveWire characters into Character Creator and iClone. We’ve asked Reallusion some questions to know more about this new process for the content communities.
