I’m a freelancer 3D artist that specializes in creating different kinds of models (mainly environments and props).
I’ve been making assets for the Unreal Engine Marketplace and the Unity Asset Store for about 3 years now. In all my works I try to create the best quality/price combinations, with accessibility to a wide range of developers.
Q: Please tell us a bit about your background and your work. When did you start working on animation and 3D model design?
I’ve been interested in 3D modelling since 8 years ago when I was playing Mount and Blade Warband game. I became interested in how different objects were created in mods, (like armor, swords, etc).
Some time later I started learning modelling in 3ds Max. After gaining some experience I started learning sculpting in ZBrush. In the middle of 2015 I met a very good person Vitaly Okulov (Not Lonely) which already had some good experience in working with 3D applications and engines like 3ds Max and Unity. He very much helped me gain experience in modeling and working with 3D graphics in general, and earning some money with it.
Q: Do you remember how you discovered Reallusion software and why you chose to use it?
Well, I discovered the Reallusion software about a year ago, as I learned about it from a friend. I have tried iClone and it is very impressive. The 3D capabilities tickled my curiosity so I decided to convert all of my Unity assets to the iClone format.
Q: Besides our applications, what other software do you use? Any samples of your work?
When I started learning 3D modeling I has used only 3ds Max, after a couple of years I decided to transfer to Blender, and it was a great decision I think :). Blender is free and very comfortable, in my opinion this is best 3D editor for indie game developers and professionals. Also I use Substance Painter + Photoshop for texturing, and ZBrush\Blender for sculpting.
Q: You have created cool content for the Reallusion Content Community. Share this experience with us, and tell us what else can the community expect from you in the future?
After converting all of my assets to the iClone format I think the main feature of iClone is that it is easy to learn and use. I plan to continue publishing content to the Reallusion Content Store and for other game developers. Always of course, in focusing on offering it with the best quality\price, for a wide range of developers.
