We are happy to announce that Reallusion iClone has been selected by Google to join the Google 3D Basecamp held June 11th-13th at Google's campus in Mountain View, CA. John Martin II, Reallusion VP of Product Marketing will speak to Google SketchUp's powerusers and guests demonstrating iClone's real-time 3D animation tools and their animation extension to Google SketchUp. Reallusion added support for the Google SketchUp SDK in December 2007 making it possible to import any 3D model in SKP format into iClone. Opening the doors for many possibilities, adding SKP to iClone makes it possible for iClone users and Google SketchUp users to equally benefit from the compatibility. Google SketchUp, which can be downloaded for free from Google's site can model custom 3D assets for iClone providing a free modeling tool for any iClone user. iClone users can also browse, select and download any one of the thousands of 3D models available for free from the Google 3D Warehouse. Google SketchUp and 3D Warehouse users have the opportunity to bring their creations to life with animation and character population for any 3D model or scene.
- Architects can create their 3D models in SketchUp and export them into iClone to inhabit their models with live characters, skies, terrain and more, transforming models into living environments.
- Animators, Storytellers, Machinima creators and filmmakers of all flavors may access the massive model library within 3D Warehouse to easily fill iClone scenes with instant props, characters accessories and 3D scenes without the need to hire a modeling professional.
- Educators and students exploring the world of 3D with Google SketchUp can extend their experience into animation with iClone allowing exercises in modelling to segue into animation with ease.
